Now there's a Wiki for Vintage Sewing Patterns. It's quite cool, however you can't browse by image; so unless you know what you are looking for by pattern maker and pattern number, it's a bit bulky... I recommend using the "Random page" feature for browsing. Many thanks to Rita at the Cemetarian blog for showing this to me! ![]() McCall 8421 ![]() Butterick 9757, dress and purse ![]() Lucille Ball robe pattern ![]() Vogue dress S-4997 ![]() Vogue 8867 ![]() Butterick 9148 ![]() Marian Martin 9829, girls ![]() Nan Grey Hollywood pattern ![]() Vintage blouse with peplum, Advance 1659 ![]() McCall 8376 ![]() McCall 8411 ![]() 1930's Advance #1892 ![]() McCall's 3459 |

These are stunning -- esp the ones from the 30s and 40s :)
My Mom definitely had some of those (not the male robe one).... they were inexpensive back then, and she sewed to save money!
Okay, don't laugh at me, but I really think sewing is an art that's getting lost. You know, clothes FIT when you sew them yourself -- or sucker a friend into sewing and fitting it to you...
