Crackled Nail Polish, The One Time Distressed Nails Are Popular

Crackle nail polish made its first appearance from Cover Girl in 1999, quickly followed by Revlon's "grungy" line called Street Wear; but the crackle nail polish trend didn't really catch on until recently, when Katy Perry introduced her own line of crackle nail polish thru OPI, called Shatter. Now, many celebs are wearing the look and many companies are putting out their own versions of the crackled nail lacquer look. Other brands to look for include BarryM and China Glaze.

Over at Steph's Closet, there's a comparison of some of the crackle finish nail brands, should you be too distressed to go through the trial and error of selecting a brand yourself.
