Trying To Make Cures For Blood Cancer "In The Bag"

Each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has a Man & Woman of the Year competition, in which the titles are earned by raising funds for blood cancer research. For Beth Wiesner, this is more than a competition; it's personal. Her husband's lymphoma is back.

In 2010, she raised $60,000 -- and in this year's Man & Woman of the Year campaign, her goal is to raise $120,000. One of the ways she hopes to reach this goal is with a Luxury Handbag Auction.

Among the luxury items in the charity auction are Carlos Falchi handbags, a Must de Cartier Sterling Silver "C" Shaped Money Clip, and a one-of-a-kind tote by David Yurman designed for the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc, (CFDA) with "You Can't Fake Fashion" on the front. The handles on the Cable bag are actually two 17-inch long, David Yurman sterling silver Oval Link Cable necklaces, which can be removed and be worn. (Estimated Retail Value $3500.)

Bidding ends May 27, 2012 at 10:00 PM CT. You may also donate directly to Beth's campaign, here.
